Alliance Française MSP & Meritage present:
Bastille Day

On Sunday the 9th, from noon to 6pm, Alliance Française and Meritage will host an outdoor Bastille Day celebration. Stroll around Landmark Plaza, in downtown Saint Paul, while enjoying French music, food and family fun. Live music will include the band Café Accordion Orchestra, The Francine Roche Trio and Dana Bogema from KFAI as MC and DJ.

In addition to music, guests can participate in kids activities (bouncy castle, jenga...), discover the Francophone Bazaar featuring local artists and organizations, and even get your picture taken with Marie-Antoinette (the last Queen of France before the French Revolution)! Enjoy delicious French fare provided by Meritage, featuring crêpes, beignets, sausages and whole roasted lamb!

What is Bastille Day?
Bastille Day is the French national day, celebrated every year on July 14. It commemorates, the storming of the Bastille in 1789, which is seen as the turning point of the French Revolution. The day is traditionally celebrated with fireworks, communal eating and parades.
